The Joseph Mellot family and winery have their roots in Sancerre: its history began 5 centuries ago with Pierre-Etienne, the first in a long line of winemakers. At the end of the 17th century, César Mellot was King Louis XIV’s Wine Advisor.

Over time, Joseph Mellot expanded by acquiring new vineyards. Nowadays, their Portfolio includes a wide variety of wines from the Centre-Loire Region.
